Extra description files mod (support)

its' for adding pdf files not just extra description

Did anyone get past the problem with the
extra_description_type_database_names.php file?

It seems to be done properly. I removed the file itself and got admin working again. But removed the admin/die statement doesn't work. The error message tells me that something else isn't kosher.

I reworked the whole mod, correcting the mistakes and making it into the default category type instead of an additional product type. I just uploaded it so it will be available shortly.

hmm.. I've added all the products_id from the products table into the product_extra_description_extra table as the instructions say and I still can't access my products via admin?

I put wrote NULL in the empty cells under the rest of the fields, could that be messing it up?

Null means no content at all, not the word "NULL".

Update on my situation: I am able to access my products through admin..

Apparently, I don't know if this is true for everyone, but all the folder permissions and file permissions were incorrect. After changing the folders in this mod to perm 755 and the files to 644, I was able to access my admin and the products.

The only problem is, I believe it is conflicting with the Tabbed Products Pro mod. The files aren't showing up on the descriptions, even with TTP disabled..

I've been in touch with the original author, and he has no time to work this mod, and although there is another version announced with flas etc., it seemes to be held up.

I am desperate to try and get this wotking, Can anyone help!!!

I have
a) installed the files
b) made the database changes

When I go to edit a product, i see the extra fields info. When I hit preview, I see the link for the new file.

The problem is, I cannot see it on the shopfront.

Can anyone help

I uploaded the mod but it's never gone up and now I'm tweaking it a bit. I don't know what the hold up is with the mod section. I'm going to check.
