Filters and multiple model numbers.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my question.

I would like to do the following but have no idea where and how to start:

I have a manufacturers section which is part of zen cart which we can add manufacturers to so that we can pick that manufacturer when listing a new item...

What if I wanted to also have a model number list.

I have some items like a certain LCD Screen for a laptop which I sell which fits multiple model numbers.

So when creating the item I want to choose Sony as the manufacturer, then I want to have another drop down menu to choose VGN-FS315B then another drop down menu for PCG-FR415B etc...

This way I can add model numbers to a list just like the manufacturers list and then when listing an item I get the option to pick from the models. But instead of 1 model I want to pick from multiple models if needed. This way when a customer looks under Sony they will get the filter option at the top of their page like they do wit the manufacturer but instead for a model and the same item can come up if one customer chooses Sony VGN-FS415B and another customer chooses PCG-FR315B from the filter.

Ok scratch that, then something easier,

is it possible to just have another drop down menu but for it to be the duplicate of the manufacturers.

I have used my manufacturers list for model numbers. Now I want to have 3 manufacturers drop down lists on each product page so I can choose 3 models.

Is it possible to duplicate the drop down lists on the products page?

Most likely no one has responded because what you're asking is far outside the Zencart core features, and would have to be custom coded.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen posts where people make far more edits than what I have mentioned.

I just want to add 2 more drop down menus to the listing where I choose manufacturers so that I can choose 3 instead of one. Is there some way to duplicate the drop down menu?
