How to customize an add to cart link

Hi ppl, I'm new here and I'm new with Zen Cart...
I'm looking for advices to solve this problem:

In my homepage I have the «new products» and the «specials» boxes enabled...
Clicking on the image or on the name of each product you reach the product's details page... Then I've added a new image below each product to reach the details page and next to it I'd like to add another image (that I already have) to add that product to the cart... but I cannot find the php code to add the product correctly to the cart... Am I clear?
I've read many threads here and looked for an answer on the manual and on the net.. but nothing... please help me! :)
