Slightly confused about override system.

I’m in the middle of customizing zen cart, following step by step from the manual.

Up until yesterday, I wasn’t really sure what override was! I’m beginning to grasp the concept of override and where they should be.

Two days ago, I cloned ‘includes/modules/shipping/flat.php’ several times to customize my shipping cost structures. And I do not believe I did override system for those changes.

Here’s a screen shot for you to view (my explanation can sometimes be very confusion, I know!!).





If I need do create override system for those changed files for shipping cost, how do I do that? Just change those file names to”includes/modules/1838/shipping/xxxx.php’?

Thank you so much for the link! That really clarified the override system for me.
