I am changing the customer status changed email and need help adding breaks for paragraphs.

I've tried <br/> ~ not it
I've tried <p> ~ not it
I even tried <li> ~ not it

Any suggestions?

The file I am editing is admin/includes/english/customers.php and this is the block:

define('EMAIL_CUSTOMER_STATUS_CHANGE_MESSAGE

Just for kicks and grins I tried the "return/enter" key for the paragraph breaks.
