Different Box Sizes UPS Module

I have 3 different sizes of boxes. These boxes are special cooler boxes) for shipping perishable products. I was wondering if the UPS shipping module (custom code) could calculate what box is needed based on the amount of product sold.

Example
under 8 units of product sold would fit into a 3 pound cooler Box
under 18 units of product sold would fit into a 6 pound cooler Box
under 28 units of product sold woudl fit into a 10 pound cooler Box.

then the weight of the product + the weight of the specific cooler box would be passed on to UPS for Quote.

ZenCart is a great product, but this problem is keeping me from using it.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
