My website only provides paypal as the unique payment method. Do I still need to install any SSL security plugin? If yes, is there any popular recommendation? It would be great if it's a freeware.

SSL is not "freeware" - it is an internet data transfer protocol that is enabled on a web server. This protocol encrypts data during transfer between the host and client computers. A SSL Certificate is issued by a Trusted Authority (Thawte, Verisign, etc), who independently verifies that the secure website is who it says it is.
In order for SSL to work without generating warnings to the user, you need SSL with an accompanying Certificate.
There are many providers of certificates - they range in price from $50 to over $5000 per annum - depending on what level of security you need.
Your host may provide SSL Certificate services, or you can browse the web for other providers.

Yes, PayPal will have its own SSL and Cert, but remember that your customers are also transmitting sensitive data via your site (their names, addresses, etc).
Shoppers feel a lot better about a webshop that has dedicated SSL.
