Order # counter - how do i set it?

I'm currently up to order #12. How do I set it? I've searched here. Followed the directions. They didnt work.

I googled, followed the directions, they didnt work.


Admin-Tools-Store Manager


Then tried entering a value in to

Reset Current Order ID




1)How do I set the order # to something of my choosing
2)Where do I see what the next order # will be even if that's in a table in MySQL?

Keep in mind it can only be a higher value, you cant reset it to lower values

What EXACT instructions did you follow? You need to supply the existing order number and the new number you want. As Qdixon said, you can't go back and reuse numbers by decreasing the value. You can only go upwards ... like the onscreen documentation states.

I figured it out. PEBKAC (problem existed between keyboard and chair)

"reset" to me means "go back to the value on this web page that it was originally loaded with"

I was clicking the confirm button on the bottom of the page, which is why nothing was happening.
