Hiding stock till a specific date

Hi all

Version of Zencart = the last that could run on PHP 4

I have just been asked if it is possible to add stock and not have it appear till say, next weekend. I thought it was possible to hide stock but I can't seem to find away, even perhaps hiding a category for a week would be handy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
