temporarily remove product hide

Sure I missed this somewhere...how can I temporarily remove an item but not delete it? Is there a show/hide feature.

If you go into the product listing in the admin, you'll see a green icon which indicates the product is active. Click on it and it will turn red. The product won't be displayed in the store anymore but can be reactivated by clicking on the icon and turning it green again.
