Move several products from category to category

Does anyone know of an admin add-on that will selectively move several products from one category to another?

You might look at the Multiple Categories Link Manager under the Copy in the Catalog ... Categories/Products ... as this can let you manipulate your Products a bit easier in juggling them around in the categories ...

NOTE: be sure to backup your database before playing with toys like this ...

I've used that quite a bit since we have many linked products. Where I am finding a need is to only move a selection of products from one category to another. One at a time takes far too long!

I like the fact that I can link one category to a selection (multi link). However, this feature seems to be lacking for managing a selection of products!

Do you think this would be of use to others?

Do you think emulate the current product copy / Multiple Categories Link Manager structure would be an intuitive way to do it?

I will start working on this since I need it for a current project. I'll see how far I get. Not sure if I will include handling products with attribute first time around... as I don't need to move around any products with attributes at this time. However, I will include handling products that are linked!

If I have coding question related to utilizing some of Zens classes and function, could I drop those in your ear?

The Quick Updates Add-on is AWESOME for this! I know this is an older thread, but it was an issue i had a hard time with .... sooo... just in case anyone else out there is struggling with moving products, use the Quick Updates mod!
