Heading Title on homepage

I'm so confused now! I m concerned about the header_title tag on the homepage, I want to get rid of it but im not sure which file to replace. I have tried uploading a new, unedited version of a few pages but they havent over ridden it.

What file do I need to over-ride/update?! Am really, really desperate to fix it!

And if you don't want heading_title at all, just use empty quote marks.
