I have been confronted by my hosting provider with them saying my site is using too much CPU resources. I recently added a RSS Export script, which I had to disable for now until I can get an upgraded version of the script that uses caching. However, now that my host has flagged my site they still say my normal installation of Zen Cart is using too much resourced. Here is the 3 lines they included in their report to me:
I have the following things also installed:Top Process %CPU 54.0 /usr/local/php5/bin/php-cgi /home/swiker2/public_html/values-galore/index.php
Top Process %CPU 47.0 /usr/local/php5/bin/php-cgi /home/swiker2/public_html/values-galore/index.php
Top Process %CPU 46.0 [php-cgi]
- Cherry Zen Template
- Hover Box 3
- CAPTCHA
- Super Orders
- Super Tracker
- Google Base Feeder
- Testimonial Manager
- Easy Populate Advanced
- Social Bookmarks Supercharged
- Tag Cloud
- Translation
That's about all. If anyone has some thoughts on what might be causing this high CPU usage, please let me know.
I have been told that switching to a Virtual Private Server would give me a lot more CPU resources in which I can use. Any thoughts on this?
