Hello I wanted to turn off the new product feature that appears on the index page, but don't know how. Can someone help please.

Configuration > Index Listing
Set the following to 0:
-Show New Products on Main Page
-Show New Products on Main Page - Errors and Missing Products Page
-Show New Products - below Product Listing
