I want a menu down the left side of my shop, and NO right column at all, on any page. How do I get rid of it completely?

Admin> Configuration> Layout Settings> Turn it off

Hi, I am also trying to remove the right column, I went to admin>layout settings and have no idea which tab to click to remove the right column, could someone please help me? Thank you!
