header background-color issue in IE

If you take a look at my site in IE, it should be apparent what the problem is. The color from the center area is in the header area. In firefox/Safari there is no problem. It looks exactly like the way I want it to. I have attached the CSS. Please help, this is driving me nuts. I have tried adding a #header wrapper, but that just makes the middle area the same color as the header.

Here is how to find out which CSS class/ID to modify for a specific part of the page:

1. Download Web Developer extension for FireFox
http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/
2. Install & restart FireFox. You should see an additional bar right above the tabs.
3. Select Information > Display Element Information
4. Move your mouse/hover around the page and you should see the CSS tags for each page element is displayed just below the Web Developer bar. This allows you to see which class or ID control an element and what is the hierarchy. Once you get the ID, you can look for it in the CSS file and make the changes.
5. If you click on an element, its information is displayed in the yellow box on the left.

Put these 2 together and you can fix just about anything. This helped me tremendously!!!!
