    Default cURL problems

I'm trying to install Zen Cart on shared hosting, and the install is failing on the prereqs page with a note that cURL is failing to connect to 2 IPs.

I called phpinfo() to make sure the cURL library is working (it is), and then I asked my host (aplus.net), and they said that I need to fill out an email request saying which scripts need to connect outbound, and to what IPs. I filled out one for the installer script for the 2 IPs it wants, but of course, I'm going to need a seperate request to actually use the program, and I don't think they'll accept /store/* as what needs access.

Is there anywhere I can get a list of what scripts use cURL, and where they connect?

The installer will use CURL via /zc_install/index.php

The storefront will use CURL via /index.php

The admin will use CURL via a few different scripts.

Most outbound requests will be on port 80 or 443, which are standard ports. I'm surprised they'd have those closed unless they're paranoid about even the slightest possible abuse of their server. If you intend to use certain payment/shipping modules, additional ports may be required.

Ok, thanks for the info. Yeah, I was surprised it didn't just work, but this isn't the first weird issue I've had with this host. I think it's time to find a better one. :)
