    Hi Can anyone help me?

IT always works fine but the last handful of time i've tried I keep getting errors!
It doesn't always stop on the same e-mail address either

    [select customers_email_format from zen_customers where customers_email_address= '******######################']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I also had this problem, my exact error message was a little different, but the '2006 mysql database has gone away' was the start of it.

l tried everything suggested here to fix it, including emailing my hosts, (who denied having anything to do with it) the thing that really stumped me was that everyone else could see the front page of my site except for me!

I've just logged into admin and checked under config in sessions (because my error message mentioned something about sessions), and lo and behold, after recently moving to a new host, l had forgotten to update the session cache path, it was pointing to the wrong location. I fixed it, and voila, my front page is now showing again.

    l hope this helps someone...!

I had the same issue with one store accessing its database but another store on the same server and accessing a similar database on the same MySQL server worked.

When looking at the sytatus of MYSQL servers and so on for my hosting company, I saw they were having MySQL problems on various systems, but not mine. That is what caused me to go to various hosted carts and see which ones had problems.

The symptoms were this shop worked, but admin got two "lost connection" errors when I tried to log in. I was able to access the database through the hosting control panel. As I said, another shop was working and login worked, using the same two servers.

Turns out in my case, that failing cart was checking for a new version upon Admin login. All other carts I manage were turned off.

I changed the database entry for version checking and away went my problem.
