Manufacturer URL not updating in Admin

Hi,
This is my first posting here and I'm a zenaholic!
I'm using version 1.3.8a (with mod EPA).

I've been trying to add images and urls for manufacturers via the Catalog>Manufacturers admin page.

When I update (existing) manufacturer it succesfully uploads the image to the desired folder and saves the image path to the database table 'manufacturers' however, it fails to save the url in 'manufacturers_info' table.

I could use PMA to do this manually, but I am wondering why this is the case and if there is a fix? I am surprised to have trawled the forums and can't find anyone else experiencing the same!

I cannot reproduce this error ...

Note: I do not have any add-ons on my test site either that might be affecting this ...
