Can't get boxes to show on right side...

Not sure if i'm in the right place to list this question..but here goes anyway...


I have installed the Darkness template, but had the same problem with another template as well.
I can get the Catagory box to show on the left, but can't get any box to show on the right...have tried the Manufactuer box which is what I really want, and have tried the Specials box. Turned them on just like I did the Cat box, but nothing shows up.
Help!

forgot to add.. the boxes that I want to show up end up below a long line in the Admin view of Layout Boxes Controller... I'm sure that means something but have no clue what .

The blank line means ... the TOP boxes are the LEFT and the BOTTOM boxes are the RIGHT ...

Are the boxes below the black line, that are on the RIGHT actually turned ON for the RIGHT column?

Also, make sure you have the right hand column activated in the Admin> Configuration> Layout Settings.

Note- Some of the available templates have one of the columns permanently disabled and you will need to look in the support thread for that template to find out how to overcome that limitation.

Ahhh...ok that makes sense about the line .
Yes, I did turn them on just like I did the category box, but I checkmarked the Right instead of Left.
I'm sure the example shows boxes on both sides. I first installed Rustic but couldn't get the boxes to turn on on the right with that one either....then found I liked this one better for my comic store...now the same problem.

I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work. The Search box shows up on the right side, but can't get Manufacturer to show at all on either side. I have a few added to it because I know some won't show if nothing is in the box...but still nothing

Well, that's never mattered before for me, but I went ahead and added a product with a manuf, but its still not showing the Manuf. box..

Should I ask the person that created the Darkness template?

Well, I did even more searching in the forums and found this thread

that tells you to go to :
admin -> tools -> layout boxes controller
and click the reset button on the bottom of the page for your template.
That brought up all of the side boxes, EXCEPT Manufacturer.
Guess I will now go to the Darkness Template thread and ask how to turn on that box as well. It will be my Publisher box, so its really important.
