    Default Some orders multipling themselves

Hi there, I am having a problem where when a customer places an order, the confirmation email comes through ok and has the proper figures in it. But in the admin there will be 2 orders (with the same order number) whose invoices are totally messed up.

The sums don't add up and infact seem to be multipuls of the proper price as if several of the item have been ordered instead of just the one.

Also shipping will have been added twice as will sales tax.

I do have another zencart which has been trundling along nicely without this sort of problem, and I should also point out that it seems to be only in some of the categories that this happens.

Does anyone have any guesses as to what might be going wrong? I've compared all the categories and products to see if there are any anomolies which might be causing this but everything seems in order.

I know it's probably something simple like a click to make in the admin but I just can't figure out what it might be.

    thanks

Hi there again, sorry to bump this up a bit but I'm still having the same problem and after spending hours pulling my hair out I'm still getting nowhere.

Attached are a couple of gifs. One shows my admin/orders screen after i've placed a few test orders for the same product over and over again. As you can see from the order number the orders appear twice but only one has the correct price (£16.38). I can't figure out where the other number is coming from.

Then when I click on the invoice (see other attached gif) it shows the sub total twice, shipping twice, total twice and sales tax twice. Interestingly the sales tax - VAT - has two different values. Recently VAT was cut from 17.5% - 15% and the invoice shows one of each, despite the fact that I have removed the 17.5% from my admin. It's like it in going through the order process twice, once as normal and then once again as some kind of ghost from the past.

If anyone can tell me what is going on here I'd very much appreciate it. I've scoured the forum and FAQs for someone having the same problem but haven't been able to find one.

    Thanks in advance

If you go to phpMyAdmin look in the following tables and see how many copies of the order do you have:
orders (should be 1 record for each order)
orders_products (should be 1 record for each product on the order)
orders_totals (should be 1 set of records for each order)

Hi Ajeh, thanks for helping me.

There are multipul copies of the order in all those tables. However, the last couple of test orders I've done seem to be working fine now again. I had spotted 4 products that didn't have product model numbers, so I added them. Not sure how that worked but it does seem to have. Do you think that was the problem?

I doubt it ... products_model doesn't really do anything other than identify Gift Certificates when set to: GIFTsomething and marked as a Virtual Product ...
