Problem with Customer List

I've been using Zen Cart 1.3.8 for over 6 months and have had no problems... until recently.

I'm getting an error message at the top of my Customer List and cannot access the customer records to either edit or delete a customer. Interestingly this is the only problem -- everything else is working and customers can still successfully order products.

Here is the error message:

If you do a search on:
array_merge

there are several threads about problems with the customers.php when there is damage to the customers/address_book tables ...

They may be able to help you discover the problem ...

We started getting this dreaded error today too and search the forum hasn't produce any useful solution. We had a customer that checked out without providing a billing address (at least the billing address is not there on the admin side). Any ideas on how to fix the error would be great.

The errors are pasted below:
