    No I am not, because the upgrading is like rocket science to me!~ I don't get it and it's hard for me! Trust me I have lots of PHP software on my site and this is the only one that is written without an auto upgrade. Once again I will have to PAY someone to upgrade it because the upgrading is so comboobalated~ I am not here to dicuss the upgrading.

    However with that said the only customization I do is two color changes, back ground and change the tile back gif. I am NOT worried about upgrading to 1.4 and having those 4 things being over written. Any my upgrade person will handle that anyways.

    I am just trying to figure why the snow wont fall ok?

    It falls only when there's enough humidity in the air and it's cold enough - were you asleep during geography lessons?

    Ask your host to put your server into the refrigerator.

    I have followed the directions given above exactly (including the override folders, which I always use) and so far, no snow. Ignoring the humidity/temp variables, do you have any suggestions?

    It should be working in my retail site (link below), but not yet.

    TIA

    I found the problem. The path suggested in post #2 of this thread (var snowsrc="/images/snow.gif") for the image was incorrect, at least on my server. It should read...

    "images/snow.gif"

    without the slash before "images".

    More help needed!

    I decided to have snow falling only on the home page. So, following the instructions in the docs, I put the jscript_snow.js file inside the includes/modules/pages/index/ folder. Didn't work.

    I noticed a classic folder in the modules folder, so thinking an override folder structure would work better I put my js file inside includes/modules/my_template/pages/index/

    That didn't work either. Any ideas?

    I think this is a neat script, but to say the truth, after a short time it is driving me nuts seeing those flakes drifting all over. I think later today I'm to get rid of it.

    PS: if you just want it on your homepage, you can do something like this in your common/html_header.php :

    <?php if($this_is_homepage){ ?>
    YOUR SCRIPT HERE (WITH <SCRIPT> TAGS)
    <?php } ?>

    Paste the script in full from dynamicdrive and just edit the path in it to your snowflake.

    I didn't test the above, but it should be close enough to give you clue.

    Actually, Zen Cart has a built-in way to do this sort of thing. But it's not working, as I stated above. No need to edit code. I just need to figure out why it won't work when placed in the correct single page folder.

    And yes, I agree about it being distracting. That's why I wanted to restrict it to the home page.
