"Outside" link to a category/product

Hi

Apologies if this is a really dumb question, I was wondering if there was a way I could make a shorter link for a category/product, e.g. the current category link would be http://www.soundfuturesdirect.com/cy...dex&cPath=7_38 and I would like to have something shorter for the artist to use as a link.

I have tried creating a folder in my domain and using .htaccess to redirect but that doesn't seem to work - but that could just be my limited knowledge

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Although this does not necessarily make the URLs shorter, it definitely makes them easier to look at...

You can use htaccess redirect if the number of links needed to be rewritten are small.

You may want to look into the link-alias feature of SSU:

BTW, why do you place the store under so many subfolders? You could have used sub-domain like this:

http://store.soundfuturesdirect.com
