What *exactly* did you do to upload it?
Cuz ... there are only two things that would stop it from showing in the Tools list:
    a) uploaded the files to the wrong place
    b) if you have the Admin Profiles addon installed, then you'll need to see your store administrator to get permissions to use the additional menu options

What SPECIFIC files did you upload FROM which folders TO which folders?
And what program did you use to unzip the files?
There are several files included, and when you unzip them properly, they are expanded into specific foldernames. You need to upload those files into their matching folders on your server ... as explained in the readme file.

i read the readme file, and its not very helpful.

i went to my server, uploaded the .zip file for the exporter, to my store, and that was it. When i click on the folder there are two items. 1. the readme txt file. 2. an admin folder

please tell me what i'm missing here? and where does it say to upload them to particular folders?

I haven't re-read the readme file for that addon in quite awhile.

    However, here's what you do:

    1. Unzip the zip file to your PC. Make sure it expands the many folders included in the zip, so that you have files inside several layers of folders.
    2. Use your FTP program and delete the zip file you uploaded earlier, and its readme.txt file.
    3. Use your FTP program to upload the unzipped folders/files from your PC into the matching folders on your server.

Then your menu option should appear.
