Handling Fee USPS

If I put 6.00 in the handling fee in the USPS module, will that then change the cost of the shipping from say $20.00 without it to $26.00 with the addition of it?

Will that also apply to international packages?

Thanks.

Also. how can I test this without logging in as my own customer?

Handling Fees are added on top of the charges quoted for the shipping modules ... each has its own setting ...

You test by creating test accounts ... you have a domain, make up some test email accounts such as:
test@your_domain.com
test123@your_domain.com
test223@your_domain.com
test323@your_domain.com

I am using Zen 1.3.8a

When I add any value in the handling fee of USPS, it does not add to the fee quoted by the site.

What can be wrong?

Thanks for the update that you had added a Handling Fee as:
$6.00 vs 6.00

$6.00 will get chopped up by php and result in 0.00 or add nothing more to the existing shipping ...

whereas the 6.00 will result in adding 6.00 to the charge ...

This is a great help to others to know solutions like this as they are a lot more common problem than you think they are ... :smile:
