Help! Horrific problem!!

I just discovered that my website designer accidentally linked my newsletter sign-up button to a x-rated adult site :shocking: It' too late in her part of the country for me to get in touch with her. I've put my site in maintenance mode but it doesn't stop the newsletter sign-up function from working. Is there any way that I can disable that? Or Take my site down completely?

I'm in total panic mode here:eek:

Thanks!

Re: Help! Horrific problem!!

There are TWO way this could have happened - both are DELIBERATE, not ACCIDENTAL:

  1. Either your web designer has a grudge and hard coded this into the PHP.

  2. Somehow your code has been HACKED by an unknown person. Contact your host to discuss server security.

Seriously, it was NOT done on purpose. My website addy is badgirlzbath.com. It was accidentally typed in without the 'bath' in the link. Which directed visitors to a parked domain for an adult x-rated site. It was not done because of a grudge or a hack job. It was just a typo. At any rate, it's fixed now :)

  1. Or maybe your designer has a sneaky sense of humour! :D
