Can *I* write a review?

Is there a way for me to write a review for a product that was not purchased through the website? I would like to take what she said and make it the first review of our site. Can that be done without creating a customer account for her? I'm not sure how I would do that since she has no computer/email/etc....

You could then edit the reviews table in phpMyAdmin and change the customers_name to something else ...

First question I guess, do I need to create the product that she purchased and write a review from there, or is there a way to write a general review without a product?

You can review any product without having purchased it ...

You just need to be logged in, have a customer account, to make a review ...

It was a rolling pin though. A one of a kind item. Do you think it would look bad to have a review on a pin that is still for sale on the site?! LOL!

I guess that would only be if the review is linked to the specific product. When you review a product does it show that products name, picture, etc? That's why I was wondering if I would have to create a new listing, make it sold out, and then review from there.

No Product ... No Review ...

If the Product isn't active, then no review ...

If the Product is active and sold out you can add the review and not worry about someone trying to purchase it ...

You should have received from your hosting provider access to the Control Panel for your domain ...

On that Control Panel for your domain there should be a way to access phpMyAdmin to view your database(s) ...

Once you see your database, you will be able to see the tables and locate the reviews table so you can edit the record ...

If you cannot find how to get to phpMyAdmin, contact your hosting provider for help with this ...
