I changed the "delivered" to "shipped" on my order status page, and updated the status to shipped, but when I try to make an invoice or packing slip it still states the order as "processing". Why is this?

I found in the admin/modules/payment modules where you can set the order status.
I was hoping that I could update that status from the main page of the admin so that when I printed the packing slip to include in the package that it would show "shipped" instead of "processing".
Okay, that's where you change the name of the status options.
That only changes the status that the order is INITIALLY set to when the payment module is done with it.
The packing slip only shows the first order-status entry, since that first status also includes any comments that the customer made when they placed the order.
Any updates or additional comments added are not printed on the packing slip.

I wonder, do most people include a packing slip, or an invoice in with the order?
I think a packing slip should be included. Cuts down on the "hey, this isn't what I ordered" emails.
All our sales are paid for by CC on the site, so there would be no reason to send an invoice.
Where do I go in my Zen Cart Admin to add different messages to my Order Status?
I have done this to one of my sites and forgot how it was done.
I want to have
pending,
processing,
update,
shipped,
refunded
I can't remember where I add the extra ones at.
