Default Shipping Rates are so off- help!

    Hi All,

I've been at this for hours and can't seem to figure it out.

My goal is to ship based on weight and zone. I am currently offering Parcel Post & Priority Mail delivery option:

    Here is the problem:
I have an item that weighs 1.5oz which is showing up in my Shipping Estimator as $4.80 for Priority Mail (which is correct) and $6.40 for Parcel Post (which is not correct according to the Shipping Service I use, it should be $3.85). See my dilema?

Here are my settings as I have set them up:
USPS expects you to use pounds as weight measure for your products.

Enter the USPS Web Tools User ID

    Larger packages - added packaging percentage:weight 10:0
Display Number of Boxes and Weight Status 0
Order Free Shipping 0 Weight Status 0
Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart 1

Please help! I plan to go live in a couple of days and need to get this thing fixed.

    thanks!
    Michele

You said the weight was 1.5oz ...

What do you have typed into the Product Weight field for this?

NOTE: 1.5 in the Product Weight field means 1 1/2 lbs ...

Ok...figured it out. For those having similiar issues, the problem was this:

As clearly stated on the USPS module, any item over 35lbs or less than 6oz (.375lbs) will be considered non-machinable parcels and thus be charged more when sending via Parcel Post.
