simplifying entire order process

I recently setup a zen cart for a friend who has only one product, which is a downloadable ebook.

I chose zen cart because I knew it could deal with the download link and paypal payment module.

But what he wants is as simple a thing as possible. Basically for the customer to be able to click on
a link from his website and buy the ebook with as few steps as possible.

Soooooo, any ideas for streamlining and simplifying the whole process of buying a product
will be of interest.

Keep in mind that he is using almost none of the features of zen cart at the moment and just wants
his buyers to get the ebook with the least hassle possible.

If you have only one product, wouldn't it be even easier to not using zencart at all?

Just use a paypal button.

The issue is that the product isn't a physical product. How would you handle a downloadable product using a PayPal "buy now" button?
