    red flag ShoppingCart & Backend/Frontend Login stopped working

    Dear Zencarters,


    This afternoon my shop was working fine. Tonight i get emails from customers saying that they cant use the shoppingcart and cannot log in. I tried to go to the backend to see what could be the problem. However, i cannot login anymore.

    -After pressing "add to cart" it sais "Your Shopping Cart is empty.".
    -After trying to login via the frontend it sais "Error: Sorry, there is no match for that e-mail address and/or password."
    -After trying to login via the backend it sais absolutely nothing. The login info in the forms just get erased as if nothing happened.

    The problem was there all of the sudden, after 2 years of having a perfect shopping cart. Between the last order (4 hours ago) and now i have not used FTP, nor did i changed anything in the backend. Why could something like this happen?

    Is zencart hacked? Could the webhost have changed any settings? Anything else..?

    I'd be very greatful for any thoughts on this, thanx

    Which version of Zen Cartare you using? And has your webhost recently upgraded the PHP or MySQL on your server?

    i use version 1.2.6

    And i emailed my webhost about any changes he might have made today..

    I suggest that you prepare for an emergency upgrade. You are using a version of Zen Cart written before the current version of PHP was released. The PHP version that corresponds to your version of Zen Cart has been "end of lifed" and most webhosts have now upgraded.

    The symptoms that you describe are completely consist with a PHP version upgrade, and even if its not that, it soon will be!

    The webhost did upgrade their PHP yesterday.
    However they think its a mysql problem. They're testing it now.

    I think they should put my Zencart 1.2.6 somewhere on an old server temporary , if possible..

    Zen Cart v1.2.6 cannot run on php 5.xx it needs php 4.xx to run ...

    yes. The webhost gives me 6 weeks to upgrade now cause they officially dont support php4 versions anymore..

    working on it
