Default multiple sql query syntax errors

I get multiple sql query syntax errors from several admin tools.

I just installed zen cart yesterday version Zen Cart 1.3.8a
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8

The MySQL server is: MySQL 5.0.51b-community-nt-log

the most basic one is from admin -- tools -- template selection:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '-0,' at line 1
    in:
    [select * from template_select limit -0, ]

I've been searching the zen cart forum and the MySQL documentation for help, but can't find any.

The errors are all over the admin section and are occurring now in stuff that worked yesterday.

    any answers?

Well, what settings did you change since it worked yesterday?

Yes, well... that IS the question isn't it. Unfortunately my wife took a hammer to the admin features thinking that she was speeding things up. so, I don't really know what she did, but I ended up reinstalling the zen cart in a new directory. The new one works great!
I'm still curious about how settings in the configure tools could make the sql query syntax break.

Probably changed some of the "Maximum Values" settings to zero or blank.
