Advice on Shipping Config for UK Royal Mail/Special Delivery

I've looked at this until a migraine set in and I'm none the wiser!

I'm tempted to go for a "free shipping' and build postage into the product costs but before I give up, is there a simple way I can offer two classes of postage:

1. UK First Class
2. UK Special Delivery

Both based on item weight so that on checkout, the customer is presented with both options with prices specific to Royal Mail's charges and the item weight?

I looked at the 'Big Royal Mail' Module but am confused about how pricing is updated and also some sort of fall-out in the forums!

While "Big Royal Mail" is indeed BIG, you can cherry-pick the options it offers - so you just install the RM services you need and leave the others switched off.

The remaining services (modules) will just lie dormant - there if you later decide to expand your RM offerings.

Pricing updates will be manual, but the "technique" is no different from updating prices on the zones, or the tables, modules.
