I've read through as many posts as I can find relating to this but none seem to answer my question .... so here it is:
I want to be able to
- display products when they are out of stock (I can do that bit, found that through these pages);
- allow people to add them to their cart (can do that too);
- show a warning when they go through check out (can do that too);
The problem comes with
- how do I find out which products are being ordered when out of stock so that I can order new stock (I will be doing this for lots of products as I simply cannot stock everything in my "catalogue");
- how is the customer invoiced? Do they pay all up front or is this split between the items being despatched?
