    Default Credit card module problems

    Hi,

I recently upgraded to 1.3.8a, and installed a new online cert running with a new host. Orders are coming in fine, but cannot manually process credit card orders (PayPal is working fine).

I get the following message in my order emails:

WARNING: You have enabled the CC payment module but have not properly configured it to send CC information to you by email. As a result, you will not be able to process the CC number for orders placed using this method. Go to Admin->Modules->Payment->CC->Edit and set the preferred email address for sending CC information.

But when I go to that spot, I see this:

Payment Modules 1054 Unknown column 'cc_expire' in 'linkpoint_api'
    in:
[ALTER TABLE linkpoint_api ADD ordertype varchar(8) NOT NULL default '' after cc_expire]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

My credit card line is set for offline processing, but when I click that link, nothing happens.

    Thanks for any help! Jim

It's finding that your Linkpoint module is out-of-date and trying to update it.
If you're not really using the Linkpoint module, select it and click Remove to stop it from producing those errors.

There is no Linkpoint module available. This is my entire screen, below. I can't click on any of these and get any response. ( I had to eliminate some red dots and ...) Jim

If you go to Admin->Tools->Server Information, can you copy and paste the "Zen Cart Version" information (and upgrade history details) from the center of that screen?

I'm confused. In your first post you said "I recently upgraded to 1.3.8", but your upgrade history shows that you upgraded from 1.2.5 to 1.3.8 back on April 13 2008. Today is December 12 2008. If your definition of "recent" is "sometime in the last year, then I accept your statement. But ... one would think that you would have reported problems about payment modules a lot sooner than 8 months later ...

Or, am I missing something here?

Well, ok, not all that recent, but since we did not manage to get the SSL cert in place until late last month, it's only been a couple of weeks that we recognized this problem. Is it possible to simply deactivate the credit card line and ask all buyers to go through PayPal?

Otherwise, I just downloaded the .pem file from YourPay (now First Data), which might solve the credit card problem, if I can figure out how to put that up and in the right place.

Also, I just don't get any edit options in the right-hand column for any of the entries in my Payment modules. I checked under the Admin for the types of credit cards to be accepted. They are set correctly, and are all editable. Thanks, Jim

Furthermore, I have a new .pem file downloaded from YourPay (now called First Data). Should this be uploaded to our server? Jim

So, you "are" wanting to use Linkpoint?

You'll need to do two things:
    1) Go into phpMyAdmin and "drop" your linkpoint_api table. That will lose any data that's in it, but will prepare it for the payment module to set it up for you automatically.
    2) Set up the module afresh following these instructions: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=298
