Kim is 100% right. Disabling right click means nothing (just press ATL + PrtSc on any web page and PASTE result into MS Paint - my 11-year-old daughter figured this out for herself!)

Digital watermarking - or using the watermarking overlay feature in IH2, are the route to go.

Digital watermarking embeds a code into the image file, so (for example) if the image is used by someone on their website, you can track it down. Even if they heavily edit the image, the digital ID remains, so you can still catch the culprits.

Keep web image resolutions low - this also discourages people from using them in print-based media as the repro quality will be poor.

Yes, I was told to lower the quality of the image for the site. Even a digitial watermark was used, would they be able to save them on their pc's and print them off? Its just the fact I've had over 10k hits in the last month with very little sales due to people recropping pictures to get ride of the watermark.

what your doing isnt a digital water mark,
make your base images SMALL and put a definite watermark across the center of the image

image handler2 will do this for you dynamically

If you want to see IH2 in action, take a look at the Holzheimers site in my sig. I don't have the small images watermarked, but the larger images are.

The problem lies here within....The people who are taking them dont care about the watermark on the photo. I need a way to make it so that they can not get them off the site period....This has to be possible but how hard is it?

Think about it this way: the images are displayed on their browsers = the images are already downloaded to their computers already. Can you prevent someone to take something already on their computers? Yes, you just dont have to send them = dont display the pictures at all.
Otherwise, you have to live with it. Go to famous sites like istockphoto etc... can you get the images off? Yes, you can, but they have watermarks on those. Do they disable right click? No they dont, since it makes no sense, and it's annoying.

As far as I know, it's not possible. Lowering the quality might help, but you have to be careful not to lower them too much and make the images too blurry.

Actually if you have the water mark across the MIDDLE of the Large image then it does NO one any good,

make your small images lower quality and smaller size then make your LARGE images in best quality with a water mark,

as to stopping people from taking inages

    not possible

and the no right click ONLY works fir IE

    FF dosnt care about it

I fully agree with yellow. As soon as you show it to someone a copy is already on their PC, so they have a legitimate copy.

You can make it more difficult (mostly == more annoying) to copy. But in the end they can even take a screen shot, if that is what it takes.
