I have question about SSL certificate!

Please understand that this is my first web store and I’m very new to all this and that (php, css, coding.. ). I realize that I need SSL Cert for my site, so I was just browsing and comparing several places.

I’ve found following places:
Register.com
Godaddy.com
Namecheap.com
Rapidssl.com

I think I’m going to purchase SSL Cert from one of above places, but I’m slightly confused. Some places have several plans ranging from $13 ~ $200+.

Can someone kindly explain to me the difference and recommend SSL provider or plan? Do I need shared or dedicated SSL?

FYI, my domain is from godaddy, and hosting is from hostgator.
I will be selling low priced items ($1.5~$20).
Payment system will be Paypal only for now, but I might add google checkout in the future. Anyway, my site won’t process credit cards.
