Hi.
I am wondering how I could receive a copy of any gift certificate I try to send by email, or where I could confirm if the email was sent.
I emailed a gift certificate but couldn't read one of the email address letters, and mistook a 6 for a 5, so I emailed it again to the correct address.
Neither the wrong nor the right email shows up, and I cannot find a copy anywhere. Where did it go? Is there a record? I don't see it in the coupon admin.

I seem to have become rusty on the way to send gift certificates and coupons and receive copies, and the tutorial is not telling me all the steps required to receive an email and make this work. I will re-read, but in the meantime, if someone knows of a link to explain this I will gladly shorten the anticipated lengthy research/troubleshooting time by following such advice.
I have my email notifications to "Send copy of GV emails to" set to send my postmaster a copy of gift voucher emails.
I also have "Send copy of Admin customer GV emails to" set to send to my postmaster.
From Admin->Gift Certificate/Coupons->Discount Coupons, or Gift Certificates Sent, I see no record of my sending test gift certificates and I don't receive copies either as a customer myself, or as postmaster.
I also am unable to see discount certificates I try to email to myself from the Admin->Gift Certificate/Coupons->Discount Coupon->email screen.
What have I not set up to make gift certificates send properly, copy the postmaster, and show up in the Admin->?
When sending Gift Certificates, try:
Configuration ... E-Mail Options ... and set to true the:
Then, make sure that you have set the Email address for:Send Copy of Admin GV Mail Emails To - Status
Send copy of Admin GV Mail Status
0= off 1= on
Next, you need to fix a typo in the file:Send Copy of Customer Admin GV Mail Emails To
Send copy of Admin GV Mail emails to the following email addresses, in this format: Name 1 <email@address1>, Name 2 <email@address2>
/admin/gv_mail.php
and anywhere you see:
_DISCOUNT_COUPON_
change to read:
_GV_

Is there a way to delete a gift certificate that has paid for and then the customer was refunded for the gift certificate?
Also, is there a way to get the Gift Certificate FAQ to appear on the home page before a Gift Certificate is purchased? The Gift Certificate FAQ shows up when the customer logs in but I was curious how to get the Gift Certificate FAQ to show up for everyone. It only seems to appear for a customer who has purchased a Gift Certificate.
If you have the Modules ... Order Totals ... Gift Certificates ot_gv installed then it should show the link in the Information box ...
If you have a GV to cancel because it was used in some other manner ... you could go to phpMyAdmin and in the table:
coupon_gv_queue
and mark the GV for the field:
release_flag
with a Y so that it is no longer showing ...

Where is myphpadmin?
Sorry, ignore that last part regarding phpMyAdmin. Brain fart.
phpMyAdmin should be available through your Control Panel with your domain that you have with your host ...
If you have trouble finding it, contact your hosting provider for further help ...

Hi Linda hope you are having a great weekend. I have a question for you. How can I stop a customer from using 2 coupons at the sometime. I mean if they have a Gift certificate and a coupon promo code is there a way to keep them from using both on the same order. I had one do that today unfortunately I loss money.
