Newbie - Initial Template Customization

I followed the info in https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=142 exactly. Should I expect to see the same view in my browser as the "Classic". The colors are different, the headed isn't the same, etc. etc.

Maybe I just need to make the new file look like I want, but I would prefer to work from the "Classic".

Hi in this case i would copy /includes/templates/classic folder and all contents to /includes/templates/yourcutomtemplate

Some of the language files will need to be copied to the appropriate custom template folders as well.

The files in the /template_default folders aren't the same as the files in the /classic folders. You don't need to copy every file and folder. Whereever you see a /classic folder, you can create a folder for your custom template. Start with the stylesheet and work from there.
