    Default Internet Explorer and widescreen monitors

    My client called today to let me know that the "Contact Us" page does not render fully. The page does not display any content beyond the captcha image.

    He is using Internet Explorer 7 and after asking a few more questions, I discovered that he is viewing his site from a widescreen monitor. I don't have a wide screen monitor, but hubby does. So when I viewed the "Contact Us" page on hubby's widescreen and lo and behold I was able to replicate the issue. The problem appears to be isolated to the "Contact Us" page.

    ETA: I just replicated the problem on my laptop (not a widescreen laptop). So it may not be a widescreen monitor issue..

    Also I believe the problem is isolated to IE because I had him install Firefox, and he was able to view his full "Contact Us" page with no issues..

    Anyone got any ideas how to correct this? I dunno if it's a CSS thing, or something else.. I have search this site, and been Googling like crazy to find an answer, but I am stumped.. I would love some ideas from the many geniuses we have in house here.. I would be most grateful for the assist..

    Did a little more digging and the "Contact Us" page displays differently when logged in versus logged out. (see attached images..)

    So I've done some digging.. I've tried several variations of the Holly & Tan hacks.. Nothing quite does the trick except adding "position: relative;" to the contactUsDefault ID. However, while this makes the missing elements visible again, it also overlays them on top of my bottom toolbar. I am fresh out of ideas here.. Can anyone assist??

    ETA: It appears that turning off the captcha makes the "problem" disappear.. Against my advice, my client is ready to do this..

    You can get rid of captcha by using the Form Armor service - see the Recommended Services link.

    ( We have been using it on the Zen Cart section of this site and it works great!)

    Yep.. I JUST finished reading a thread about this service.. I've bookmarked it for future reference.. Sounds like an AWESOME service..

    In the meantime I was all prepared to justify this service to my client when I had an epiphany. So I decided to take one more stab at finding the issue.. (I am a pitbull when it comes to puzzles...) and whadaya know.. It was staring at me all along.. (it was in the section IMMEDIATELY below the offending ID) Turns out that another attribute in my stylesheet was overriding my Holly Hack. Once I got that all straightened out, the bottom of ther contact page MAGICALLY appeared..

    I like the sound of the Form Armor service.. Question regarding the service (and if I should post this elsewhere, please let me know), Does it cover all ZenCart forms or only specific forms.. I ask because I consider the Returns Authorization a must have. If I use the Form Armor service, could this form also be protected??

    You might be able to correct the Peek-a-boo IE bug by using:

    height:1%;

    somewhere within a DIV usde for the CAPTCHA code -- don't use the CAPTCHA mod so not familiar with its coding.

    Thanks for the tip.. I already got it fixed using just this code. The issue was that I had another height attribute in my stylesheet for this same ID and it was overriding my hack..
    I got it all sorted out now..
