I don't know if this right forum to post this in, but is there any kind of listing of contributions other than the by-category breakdown on here? Perhaps with reviews from other Zenners? Or even just a # of downloads/hits tracker. See which mods are liked best/used most often...

I'm afraid not. You pretty much have to look at each one in turn and see how many downloads it has. Most mods have support threads - you can check those for mods that interest you and get a sense of users' satisfaction, level of support, etc.

Mods that get a lot of mention in the forum are often especially useful, if you want a place to start.
