Setting Out of Stock items to off status

Hi,

I set the "Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to" option to '0' in Configuration : Stock, but the sold out items are still showing. Does this only work when things are actually bought to the point of being out of stock?

Yes, that's how that switch works.
If you want to disable certain products, just go into your admin area and turn them off. Clicking the green icon will turn it red, and disable the product.

I have configuration>stock>Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to "0"

However, when a product is sold out, it's still appearing in my listings.

Is this something to do with the stock by attributes mod?
