Shipping options only displays free S&H

Hi. I ship from both the U.S. and Japan. For the items in Japan, I want the items to show up as shipping for free because airmail is already included in the price. For items in the U.S., I will ship via USPS and shipping is separate.

I've gotten an API ID from USPS and had them transfer it over to the production server for me already.

My problem is that I can't seem to get any shipping options to display. It's always set to free shipping no matter what. The message I get when I use "estimate shipping" is "Free shipping for orders over $0.00."

I have uninstalled ALL shipping modules except for USPS yet it still keeps showing up as free shipping. Does anyone know what's wrong?

PS What's "Free Shipping Cost" in freeshipper and "Shipping Cost" in freeoptions for? If it's free, why do you need to set the cost?

Ah ha! I figured it out. It was because my ot_shipping module was set to $0.00 = free S&H.

Thanks for the update that the Free Shipping was being forced by the Order Totals Module for Shipping ot_shipping being set to ship for free on all orders greater or equal to $0.00 ...

Hi, I have the same problem as crosswithyou and have removed my ot_shipping and ot_loworderfee modules, but my shipping rates are still not showing up. Also, can somebody explain the numbers beside the green dots in the Order Total Module?

In my Shipping Module, I only have a Flat Rate shipping offered to domestic orders, but the Sort Order showed up as orange instead of green. I understand that green would mean active and red is not. But what does orange mean?

Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Sorry, didn't mention that I'm using 1.3.8a.

Shipping rates have showed up! I didn't configure my Zones Definitions and Tax Rates. Have also changed my Tax Basis in the Shipping Modules editing box to Store Based. So that works now..

But I still don't understand why My Shipping Module's sort order is still orange in colour. It turns green when I uncheck the Shipping Zone in the editing box, but isn't that supposed to be meant for the selected zone only? Which, in my case only has one option.

Also, is there any way to change the wording for the Available Shipping Method that's shown online? I offer a Flat Rate for all domestic orders and would like it to show : "Flat Rate (Domestic orders only)" instead of "Flat Rate (Best Way)" by default.

Fixed up the colour issue on the Order Status. I unchecked my zone and checked "Shipping" for the Tax Basis.

I'll start another topic on the wordings for Shipping Method.
