I talked to my hosting company and they helped me to use cgiwrap to run PHP files as cgi (if I am correct). Now the error messages are gone but nothing happens. PHP 5.2.9 is used on the hosting server. What else can it be? MAny, many thanks

Actually, 2 things... Firstly, running PHP as a CGI requires special attention within your cart and module settings.

Secondly, the original error appears to be a permission/function related problem with your cart. Whether this is related to your hosting configuration or ZC could not properly move/import the file information.

Just like many other ZC functions, this file is uploaded... moved and then processed. Your site looks to be unable to write to the tmp directory.

I forgot to mention that I have a testing site for which I didn't have to use cgiwrap and same issue, nothing happens...

Just to have an idea on what is going on I echoed $line on add_customers_backend.php line 31, it turns out that there was only one line made this the info. Although I did the file with excel. So really we have to becareful... Thanks a lot for the contrib and/or modifications. and now I have an error message on line 377 but I think I read that one on the thread... Sorry for the freaking out emails. Fred

One last thing, is it normal that when I upload the file, the customers don't receive an email? That's what's going on now...

This is not a reported bug and no one else has reported emails not being sent. Check your ZC configuration.

That I put a 0 or 1 on the send welcome email parameter, it does not work.. It only works with one person (line), if I put more than one, then no emails are sent.
Any idea?

Two quick questions:
Is it possible to have the states in a drop down in the Admin when trying to add a new customer?
Is it possible to set the default country to the USA instead of alphabetic order?

This would be helpful when you are on the phone with the customer and try to take the information down. If you misspell the state it will be discarded when going to check out so you would have to enter the address again in the store front.

Is there a way to resend the welcome email? I forgot to leave the box checked when setting up the account.

I am testing this again - and NO emails go out with bulk upload. Email works fine with entering one customer - fails on bulk upoad.
