    Default Sending Batch Gift Certificates

If I send out a batch of gift certificates, say a gift certificate to all customers from my pull down list, will each customer receive a unique code? I tried to do a test and put my two personal email addresses in the blank "to" field" and when I received them, they both had the same code. That would be a huge problem because both of them couldn't be redeemed by different people.

Any guidance would be appreciated. :)

I did a test to 10 of my own addresses and got 10 unique redemption codes ...

NOTE: I used the dropdown selection and not:

Email To: Use this for sending single emails, otherwise use dropdown above

Did you try to do both of those at the same time in the incorrect manner as indicated by the comment that the Email To: is just for a Single email?

Linda, You're the BEST! YES, that's exactly what I did! I put both email addresses in the "to" field which I now know is a no-no. LOL!

I just wanted to send a unique gift certificate to each of my customers for Christmas. So as long as I choose "All Customers" or "All Email Subscribers" from the drop down, then I should be fine? I just don't want 400 angry customers. LOL!

I said your test was not working ...

In theory ... all should be fine ... unless you have changed the code in some manner it should run as expected ...

This is a similar but different question, I want to send gift certificates to a list of people that are not customers or newsletter subscribers, is there a way to automate that? They are my affiliates and other people that I want to send a gift to but want them to "pick their own" from the store.

Has anyone got a workaround for this as I need to do something similar early next year and am still new at this so would appreciate any help. Every month I receive a batch of +- 100 names that need to have a GV sent to them, I would really like this to be an automated process rather than me selecting each client individually. I have the add customers mod installed so that I acn upload the new customers.

    Thanks
