Shipping calculation Per Unit

Hello,

My courier service charges a specific amount of money for merchandise up to 2kg and then an other amount for each extra kilo.
This charge varies depending on customer's location.
Please help me on how I should implement this on my shipping estimator.

The zone shipping calculator lets you set the rate by weight within zones, but (a) I have never understood how to set up zones, so I would have no idea how to suggest you do it, and (b) it is only set up to accommodate 3 zones, although I have seen other messages that you can increase the number of zones through editing some file (could probably find that in the FAQ area). If you can figure out zones and only need 3 different zones, this would be your solution.

Hi

I figured out how to setup zones in zone rates shipping module but this module calculates rates based in country and i want to calculate based the state for my country.
For example USA has many states what if you have different rates in some states
Lets say Oklahoma 2 kilos costs 5 $ and in Miami 10 $. How can i configure this?

Okay, problem solved by installing the "Zone tablerate" add on.
