Fixed. Timezone was incorrect which caused 8 gigs of logs to pile up
in the zencart cache directory.

It's weird that the timezone mismatch was throwing the error logs into the zen-cart cache...definitely weird...now i feel like i just went from an apple 2gs to a mac pro!
I had today this problem and I post here to help someine in the future. I solved the problem eliminating all file inside /cache.
The site immediately performed very fast.
