    Default SSL problem

    Hi All,

I've currently got my site hosted with www.powweb.com and have just turned on SSL in my zen cart. Because it's a shared SSL certificate essentially i lose in the address bar, the www.myzencartshop.com and it's changed username.powweb.com. because of the sharing certificate, firefox and IE7 get all sorts of error messages if you point the SSL to just the domain name and not the username.powweb.com address. If i purchase a third party SSL certificate from Go Daddy, will that solve the problem of the unwanted store details in the address bar? I'd much prefer to have everything listed under the proper domain name.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam.

Not sure of the hosts policies on installing a 3rd party certificate....might be free or at cost.

Using a "Private" certificate will net what you are seeking, although I would steer clear of the GD certificates, but this is your call

    can you elaborate?
Im using GD SSL , had no issue so far , although i had a bit of problem upgrading my flash player to 10 and not seeing GD seal scroll , after a complaint to GD , they fixed the issue in 2 days.

beyond that , I like to hear more about GD ..

    thanks.

Just personal as I do not think of GD as "Secure" provider favoring those that are respected in this business like
    COMODO
    GeoTrust
    RapidSSL
    Verisign
    Thawate(sp)
