red flag Can't login to admin after changing server

Hi, I can't seem to login to the admin after changing the server. The admin page has the following message:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /admin/login.php on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I also can't checkout and the message is:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /checkout.html on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This is the first time I change server, is there anything else I must check to make sure everything is working? Please help. Thanks in advance.

    Cannot Complete Request

www.dealbyethan.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for <a id="cert_domain_link" title="*.webserversystems.com">*.webserversystems.com</a>

    (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Thats what I get on the catalog side when try to go to the create account page

Are you saying I should reinstall the SSL certificate?

Yes you probably need to create a new private key and csr on the new server and take that to whomever issued the cert and have it reissued, that is unless you have the private key from the original cert, crt, and ca bundle than you should be able to use the current cert.

You may want to ask your host exactly what you need to do

red flag Re: Can't login to admin after changing server

I have another related question regarding changing server. My email has stopped working for a while. Is this normal? Will all the emails eventually come through? Is there something I need to do or should I just wait?

Yes there is propagation time involved with the mx record, for email, also. That is why when we move a client we recommend the old hosting package not be cancelled until all of the propagation stabilizes, just put the site on the old server in "DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE". That will allow customers, for which the dns hasn't propagated yet, at least land on a site instead of being sent off into never-never land. It will also allow you to still receive email until the mx records propagate.
